In a thrilling conclusion to the much-anticipated duck hunt in Klamath Basin, local resident Ruth Olsen emerged as the victor, showcasing not only her determination but also her astute attention to detail. Ruth, who also serves on the board of Directors for the United Way of the Klamath Basin, demonstrated her commitment to community engagement by participating actively in the hunt.

From the moment she first caught wind of the duck hunt, Ruth Olsen was on a mission. The photos are what gave her the direction of her search.  She recognized the plants and knew of a couple hiking areas that they grew.

Spence Mountain was where the duck was found on the Red Rover trail.  This was her second time on Spence mountain but after the first search she waited for another clue to narrow down her search.

Congratulations to Ruth!
